Only Love

Only love. Only love can leave such a mark.

At the Leadership Summit that just passed a couple days ago, Bono was one of the speakers. He had about a five minute long intro video talking about the conditions going on in the world around him, and the music that it was set to was “Magnificent” by U2. In that song, the lyrics that gets me every time is “Only love. Only love can leave such a mark…”

Wow! What a true statement. Only love CAN leave such a mark. Our love today, to the people all around us, will leave a lasting impression, a lasting mark, a lasting legacy. Think about God’s love. Think about Him sending His son to die for us… His love… left SUCH a mark! The Bible commands us to love our neighbor (everyone around us). That’s a commandment not a suggestion! Let us love, because it’s so true… only LOVE can leave such a mark!

Country Cuban

Ileana Ortiz (a.k.a. Country Cuban) is the Director of Online Communities at Flamingo Road Church, an intern at 8BIT, and a freshman at the University of West Florida. She is constantly being mistaken for celebrities such as Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Penelope Cruz, Jessica Alba, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and Angelina Jolie. She also happens to enjoy reading, writing, some good country music, all things tech, and when autumn rolls around.... a frothy Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks! I guess you could just say that she is your average 18 year old.. well.. not really.
